Find your way around the interface

The VibeStarter window is laid out the same way everywhere: an identical top bar on every page, a project bar below it, then the workspace. Both bars can be rearranged with the mouse: you decide what they hold and in what order.

  1. Home — always on the left, takes you back to the project list.
  2. Project tabs — one tab per open project, with its planet and a status dot, then a + to Open another project. See Several projects at once.
  3. Search — a magnifying glass button, or Ctrl + K, opens the command palette.
  4. Your pins — the destinations kept at hand, six at most.
  5. The right corner — your credit balance if you have a subscription, the Documentation link, the notifications, and the Account menu.
  6. The window buttons gutter — on the right on Windows, on the left on macOS.
  7. The left area of the project bar — by default, the section tabs.
  8. The right area of the project bar — by default, the companion panels.
  9. The Before launch strip — the choices that apply to the next launch. It disappears once the agents are running.
  10. The agent grid — one pane per agent, each with its own terminal.
  11. The launch dock — the floating pill at the bottom of the grid: the only button that starts your agents.
  12. The side panel — Library, Versions, Notes, or Team.

It is identical on all pages: home, open project, settings. It is the only place where you always find your account, your credits, and the command palette.

Each open project has its tab there: click it to go back to it, on the last session you viewed. Running agents do not prevent you from switching projects; only a launch or a stop of agents in progress makes you wait. The close button on a tab closes the project, after confirmation if agents are running — see Several projects at once.

The Account menu brings together your Roblox account (Connect, then “View profile” once linked), the Theme toggle, your subscription, Usage, the

Settings, and Logout.

At first, the bar holds two pins: AI Studio and Subscription. Inside a project, AI Studio is not shown there: the project bar already holds it. Hover over the bar: a + appears next to the pins, on the right, and lists the destinations you can add to it. To remove one: right-click, then “Unpin”.

Destination What you find there
Presets Reusable agent teams
Subscription Your credit subscription
AI Studio Manual asset generation
Community Coming soon: the game’s wiki and Discord
Settings All settings
Usage Your activity time, your assets, and your storage

The Community pin only appears when you open the Community product, with no date announced.

The menu reminds you: “A shortcut to a page, visible everywhere. Drag to reorder, out of the bar to remove.” Beyond six, it shows “6 pins maximum: remove one to add another.” Once you have changed the bar, the same menu also offers to Back to the default bar: the original pins come back.

Only destinations can be pinned here. A project’s tools — panels, agents, presets — only make sense inside a project: they live in the project bar.

A line under the top bar, visible only inside a project. It has two areas, and you arrange what you want in each.

On the left, by default, the sections — they change what the center of the window shows:

Section What it shows
Agents The grid of your agents and their terminals
AI Studio Manual asset generation
Community Coming soon: the game’s services, for a project linked to Roblox

On the right, by default, the companion panels, plus your favorite agent if one is known.

A section always has its place: it can be moved, not hidden. The Community section is an exception as long as the Community product is not open: the app does not show it.

  1. Drag an icon to move it, from one area to the other or into the order you want. The help text says: “Drag an icon to move it, across sides or out of the bar to hide it.”

  2. Right-click an icon to Hide, Move to the left, or

    Move to the right.

  3. Click the + at the end of the bar to Add to the bar what you removed. The catalog is arranged in three groups: Panels,

Presets (one-click launch), and Agents (one-click add). When everything is already there, it shows “Everything is already in the bar.”

  4. To put everything back as it was: Back to the default bar.

A preset icon launches its team in one click. An agent icon adds a pane for that agent to the current tab.

The first agent whose connection is confirmed becomes your favorite: its icon is placed by default at the start of the right area, and it is the one the app offers in large size when a tab is empty. Accepting a pin suggestion for another agent replaces it. You can also move or hide its icon like any other.

Four panels open on the side, only one at a time. A panel opens on the side where its icon is in the bar.

The Ctrl + K shortcut (Cmd + K on Mac) opens an action search: pages, panels, projects, dev tools, themes, and settings. The field shows “Search an action… (pages, panels, settings, themes)”. A project shows its name there and can be found by that name or by that of its folder. The shortcut can be changed — see Keyboard shortcuts.

  • Six pins at most in the top bar.
  • The top bar only accepts destinations: no panel, no agent, no preset.
  • Your layout is specific to this computer. It is not carried over to another machine.

I can’t type anywhere. Where is the chat field? It appears in an agent’s pane, once that agent is running. See Run and steer your agents.

Where did the Launch button of the project bar go? There is only one now, in the dock at the bottom of the grid, and it only appears once an agent has been added to the tab.

I hid an icon by mistake. Click the + at the end of the bar: it is in the catalog. Or restore everything at once with the Back to the default bar menu.

I can’t switch projects. A launch or a stop of agents is in progress: the switch waits for it to finish.

How do I change the theme quickly? Through the Theme line of the Account menu, or through the command palette. The eight themes are described in Themes, language and notifications.

Where are my game’s statistics? They are not in the app. See The services for your game.
