Assets: search before you create
The search in the asset bank is included in the app.
An asset is an image, an icon, a 3D model, a piece of music, or a sound effect used in your game. VibeStarter gives you three sources: the bank shared between members, generation requested from an agent, and the AI Studio where you create things yourself. Reusing an asset from the bank is instant and uses no credits; generating one uses credits, depending on the agent and the type of asset.
What your agent does by default
Section titled “What your agent does by default”By default, an agent searches the bank first, then generates only if it finds nothing that fits. You can change this behavior in the setting “Where agents find assets”.
Choose between searching and generating
Section titled “Choose between searching and generating”-
Open Settings → Workspace, section Agent Behavior.
-
In the Where agents find assets setting, choose one of the three options:
- The Search only option: the bank only, with no generation;
- The Hybrid option: search first, then generate. This is the default setting;
- The Generate only option: always generate new assets.
-
Leave the agents idle while you make the change. The app tells you: these settings can only be changed when no agent is working. The choice applies to all your open projects, including those in other tabs.
Before each launch, the same choice is made in the Before launch bar, Assets group, under short names: Search, Hybrid, and Generate. See Launch and steer your agents.
The Generate only mode can be chosen without a personal key: Blender creates the 3D models on your computer. Other generations require AI credits or your key, depending on the agent and the type of asset.
Your explicit request takes priority over these preferences, for the current task, without changing your settings. Saying “pick up the sword that is already in the game” or “generate it” is enough.
Where you find the assets
Section titled “Where you find the assets”The assets panel has several names depending on where you look at it, but it is the same content:
| Where you see it | The name shown |
|---|---|
| App bar and panel header | Library |
| Settings, storage screens | “asset bank” |
| vibestarter.pro website and training | “Toolbox” |
The panel has two tabs: Community, the bank shared between VibeStarter members, and My assets, what you have created or imported. The categories are: Icons, 3D models, Music, Sound effects, Favorites, and Other. Sorting is by Recent or Popular, and the Split filter only appears for 3D models.
Reuse rather than redo
Section titled “Reuse rather than redo”- Search in English. The field says so: Search assets (English only)…. A search in French returns far fewer results.
- Start from an existing asset. The Search for similar assets action starts from an asset on screen and looks for what resembles it.
- Tell the agent where and what to search. An agent can limit its search to your assets or your favorites, to sounds of a given length, to split 3D models, or to a number of triangles. Write it in your request: “a sound effect under one second,” “a piece of music at least one minute long in my favorites.”
- Ask for other results. If nothing suits you, the agent runs the search again without showing you the same assets, or looks for something similar to the one you prefer.
- Reuse what your project has already published. An agent finds an asset already published on Roblox from this project, even from another computer, and reuses it by its ID.
- Point an agent to a specific asset. The Copy a reference for an agent action puts an ID on the clipboard: paste it into the agent’s prompt. It is valid for a few hours and does not share the asset with the community.
- Reuse an asset already in your game. Your agent gets the real file and edits it instead of generating a lookalike.
Import a file you already have
Section titled “Import a file you already have”The Import button in the panel accepts images: PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, GIF, BMP,
AVIF, TIF, and TIFF. Uploading to the bank is limited to 25 MB, a local edit to 15 MB, and a file dropped into your local library to 256 MB. A file of keys or credentials (.env, SSH keys…) is refused.
For a 3D model made elsewhere, the panel is not enough: drop the file into an agent’s pane, where the app shows Drop files or a folder here, then ask the agent to use it.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- The bank search understands English only. The field says so.
- Searching in My assets looks at the file name, not at what the file represents.
- The bank does not contain animations. Since version 3, your agents write animation in code; it is no longer downloaded.
- An asset found in the bank must be published to Roblox to enter your place. Your agent takes care of this, with your linked Roblox account.
Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Do I have to pay for Meshy to get 3D models? No. The bank, the built-in Blender, and the Roblox parts assembled by an agent already cover many needs. See 3D models.
Does searching the bank use credits? No. Searching and reusing are free. Only generations use AI credits, and not with every agent: see AI credits in practice.
My agent says it can’t create an asset. An agent sometimes gets its own abilities wrong. Ask again explicitly, or restart the agent from Launch and steer your agents.
I can’t find an asset the agent just created. It depends on the destination you chose for your new assets. See Where your assets go.
