Icons and images

The cost depends on the agent: see below.

You ask an agent in French for item icons, skill icons, currency icons, badges, and portraits. The image is drawn on a plain background, this background is removed automatically, and a black outline is applied so that the icon stands out in a Roblox interface.

Some agents have their own image tool; the others use VibeStarter’s generation tools. This is what decides who pays.

Your agent Who draws What it uses
Codex its built-in image tool your ChatGPT account, no VibeStarter credits
Grok Build its built-in image tool your xAI account, no VibeStarter credits
Antigravity its built-in image tool your Google account, no VibeStarter credits
Claude Code VibeStarter’s tools your AI credits, or your Gemini key
OpenCode VibeStarter’s tools your AI credits, or your Gemini key

In both cases, the recipe is the same: background removed, outline applied, style kept from one icon to the next.

For the amounts, see AI credits in practice. To choose between credits and a personal key, open Settings, then the Keys & generation tab: the Who pays for generations section has an Images and icons line with the Use my Gemini key switch. By default, credits are used; without a subscription or usable top-up credits, your key is used automatically, without you turning anything on.

  1. Describe the object to your agent, in French, with how it will be used: “a wooden treasure chest icon for the shop.”

  2. Wait for the Review — click to preview notification, then look at the icon at full size.

  3. Accept it, or write your correction in the Send feedback… field.

The full process is described in Check what the agent suggests to you.

Ask for the change by describing it: the agent takes the icon and retouches it while keeping its silhouette, instead of generating another one that vaguely resembles it.

For matching variants, such as bronze, silver, and gold, or a set of items, the agent makes a base image, has you approve it, then derives each variant from that base. It never starts from the previous variant, because chained edits make the style drift.

  1. Base imageThe first tier, drawn once
  2. Accepted baseThe reference for the set
  3. Variant 1Derived from the base
  4. Variant 2Derived from the base, not from variant 1
The rule for sets: one approved base, then as many derivations as there are variants, all taken from the same image.

The same rule applies to “make me a shield to match this sword”: the agent starts from the existing asset in your game.

You can also create 16:9 thumbnails and 1:1 icons yourself, in the AI Studio. Its Overlays tab adds a countdown or a banner to an existing visual: it composes the image on your computer, without using credits. See The AI Studio: create it yourself.

  • Claude Code and OpenCode do not have an image tool of their own: without AI credits and without a Gemini key, they cannot generate an image. The app shows this in the settings.
  • Importing images from your disk accepts PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, GIF, BMP, AVIF, TIF, and TIFF, up to 25 MB for the bank and 15 MB for a local edit.
  • The file extensions you can publish to Roblox for an image are .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .webp, and .bmp.

What do I need, at a minimum, to generate images? An agent that has its own image tool and the account that goes with it, or AI credits, or a Gemini key saved in the app.

My Gemini key says the quota is exceeded, even though I am not using it. Google’s image quotas are separate from the others, and the key must be linked to a billed project at Google. Check these two things in your Google account.

Can I have the agent check an icon? Yes: ask it to check the icon in the interface where it will be shown. It can measure an interface layout in Studio.
