Music and sound effects
You ask an agent for a sound in French, the same way as for an image. Two tools exist: one for sound effects, one for music. The asset bank already contains the Music and Sound effects categories, and searching them costs nothing.
What you can ask for
Section titled “What you can ask for”| What you want | What the agent uses | What to specify in your request |
|---|---|---|
| An impact, a step, an interface click, an ambience | The sound effect tool | The length, and whether the sound must loop cleanly |
| A theme, a jingle, background music, a song | The music tool | The instrumentation, the mood, whether there are lyrics |
For an ambience that runs continuously, such as wind, an engine, or a crowd, ask for a loop: the tool has an option that makes the end connect to the start without an audible cut.
Get a sound
Section titled “Get a sound”-
Describe the sound to your agent: “a sword sound effect striking metal, short and dry.”
-
Wait for the Review — click to preview notification, and listen to the result.
-
Accept it, or write what needs to change in the Send feedback… field.
-
After you accept it, the agent publishes the file to Roblox and makes it usable in your game.
What it costs
Section titled “What it costs”Audio generations are charged to your AI credits, or to your ElevenLabs key if you save one. The choice is made in Settings, on the Keys & generation tab, in the Who pays for generations section, on the Music and sound effects line, with the Use my ElevenLabs key switch. By default, credits are used; without a subscription or usable top-up credits, your key is used automatically, without you turning anything on.
A sound effect of 12 seconds or less costs less than a longer one; music has its own price. The amounts are on AI credits in practice.
Without credits and without a key, the app says so clearly: these generations are not available. A generation that fails charges nothing.
What prompts cannot ask for
Section titled “What prompts cannot ask for”A prompt cannot name an artist, a band, or copyrighted lyrics. If your request is refused for this reason, the error message suggests an alternative: describe the style, the instrumentation, and the mood rather than a name.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- VibeStarter does not do speech synthesis: there is no tool to make a character speak.
- The file extensions you can publish to Roblox for a sound are
.mp3,.ogg,.wav, and.flac. - A generated sound follows the same destination as your other assets: see Where your assets go.
Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Can I use the sounds from the Roblox Toolbox instead? Yes, it is a separate catalog from VibeStarter. Tell your agent where to search, or the two will get mixed up.
How do I get an ambience that doesn’t “jump” when it restarts? Explicitly ask for a loop. The tool then prepares the sound so that it repeats without a cut.
Does the bank contain ready-made music? Yes, in the Music and Sound effects categories. Search in English.
