I can’t sign in
VibeStarter has no password: you get a sign-in link by email, you open it, and the computer is linked to your account. Most failures come from that link, from the two-device limit, or from network software getting in the way.
The sign-in link doesn’t work
Section titled “The sign-in link doesn’t work”Four rules explain almost every case.
- The link is valid for ten minutes and can be used only once.
- Requesting a new link invalidates all the previous ones: always open the last one you received. On the waiting screen, Resend the link requests a new one to the same address, at most once a minute.
- The link must be opened on the computer you want to link, not on your phone. On a phone, the page tells you to open it on your computer: the link isn’t used up and stays valid.
- The email sometimes lands in your spam folder. It is only sent to the address of a VibeStarter account: check that it’s the address you used for your purchase.
After ten minutes without a link opened on this computer, the app stops waiting and shows “The login link has expired”. Send a new link starts again from the same address.
The link only works while VibeStarter is open and waiting on this computer. If the browser shows an
unreachable page (an address starting with 127.0.0.1), the app has been closed or has stopped
waiting: reopen it and request a new link.
If the page says the link doesn’t exist or is no longer valid, request a new one from the app and open that one, without reopening the old email.
“Too many sign-in attempts” appears when one internet connection requests more than four links per hour for the same address, or more than ten links in ten minutes. Wait until this window ends before trying again; the last link you received stays valid for its ten minutes.
An address receives at most ten links per hour. Beyond that, no more emails are sent, and there is no error message: the last link you received stays valid for its ten minutes.
The app refuses the sign-in
Section titled “The app refuses the sign-in”These refusals are separate from the link itself, and the message names them.
| What the app says | What to do |
|---|---|
| This account is already linked to 2 VibeStarter devices | Remove a device from your account area on the website, then sign in again. |
| This account has already linked several new VibeStarter devices in the last 30 days | Four different devices were linked in 30 days: removing one no longer frees up a slot. Write to support@vibestarter.pro, which will open a slot. |
| This account doesn’t give access to the VibeStarter app | This account has no app purchase: sign in with the email address you used to buy, or buy VibeStarter. |
| This VibeStarter session isn’t valid on this device | The saved session doesn’t belong to this computer: sign in again with an email link. |
| Update VibeStarter to sign in to your account | The version is too old: Check on the sign-in screen, or download the latest version from the website. |
| Update required | The app installs the new version itself; if that fails, Download from vibestarter.pro. |
| Sign in again to secure your session | Your session dates from an older version: sign in once more with an email link. |
| Your session has expired or was signed out | Sign in again; a new link is enough. |
| Too many sign-in attempts | Wait a few minutes, then start sign-in again from the app. |
| VibeStarter couldn’t reach its server | Check your internet connection, turn off your VPN if you have one, then start sign-in again. See A network error interrupts sign-in. |
| VibeStarter couldn’t use the system credential store to save your session | Unlock your system’s credential store, then start sign-in again. See I sign in, but I don’t stay signed in. |
The limit is two devices per account at the same time. It can’t be bypassed, but freeing up a device takes a few seconds: the Settings tab of the account area on the website, section
Connected devices, Remove button. The details are in Create your account and connect your computer.
A second cap applies: four different devices within 30 days. Once it’s reached, removing a device no longer frees up a slot for a new computer until those 30 days are over; devices already linked still reconnect. Support can reopen a slot: write to support@vibestarter.pro.
For a mandatory update, see Update the app.
Your computer’s clock is off
Section titled “Your computer’s clock is off”A banner appears at the top of the app, on every screen, including the sign-in screen:
Your computer’s clock is off by about N min, and the VibeStarter server then refuses your session: turn on automatic date and time, then try again.
When the app can’t measure the gap, the banner says “The VibeStarter server refuses this device’s signature, probably because of its clock”. In both cases, your account and your link aren’t the problem: the server refuses a session signed at a time too far from its own.
Fix your computer’s time first.
In Windows Settings, go to Time & language → Date & time, and turn on automatic time and time zone.
In System Settings → General → Date & Time, turn on automatic date and time.
Then go back to VibeStarter and click Retry, in the banner. It disappears as soon as the server accepts your session.
Your session stays saved in the meantime: there’s no need to request a new link.
A network error interrupts sign-in
Section titled “A network error interrupts sign-in”- “TLS failure: secure connection refused”: an antivirus or a proxy inspects encrypted traffic. Add VibeStarter as an exception, or turn off this inspection.
- Network error with a VPN: turn off the VPN — Cloudflare WARP and similar tools are a frequent cause — then try again.
- Nothing gets through at all: the app needs the internet for sign-in, the asset bank and the project template, even if the agents run on your machine.
The app asks for the internet at startup
Section titled “The app asks for the internet at startup”That’s normal: your access is checked each time you open the app, even when your session is already saved. If this check fails, the app shows “Connect to the internet to check your VibeStarter access, then restart the app.” Restore your connection, then restart VibeStarter. If the service itself is down, check the service status. There’s no need to delete your session or request a new link for a simple network outage.
If the internet drops while you’re working, local access stays possible for up to 24 hours after the last successful check. After that, restore the connection so your access can be checked. Closing and reopening the app requires a new check.
I sign in, but I don’t stay signed in
Section titled “I sign in, but I don’t stay signed in”If the app loses your session on every restart, or refuses to save an API key, the problem comes from the system’s credential store, not from your account.
The message is “Your keys are not in the system credential store”, and the log contains
Windows error code 8: the Windows credential store is full.
-
Open Windows Credential Manager.
-
Go to Windows Credentials and delete the entries you no longer need.
-
Go back to VibeStarter and click Retry the credential store.
This is not a lack of RAM, and running the app as administrator doesn’t change anything. In the meantime, your secrets go to an encrypted local vault, and a banner stays displayed as long as a key lives outside the system credential store.
If you answered Deny to the Keychain access request, the app shows an error and doesn’t fall back to its backup vault. Run the operation again and allow access.
When the backup vault is active on Mac, the banner “Your keys are not in the system credential store” stays displayed: the file is protected only by its permissions, not by system encryption.
The details of what the app stores, and where, are in Your API keys and your credential store.
My account isn’t the one I think
Section titled “My account isn’t the one I think”Your account is linked to the email address entered at the time of payment. A purchase paid with a different address from the one you use to sign in won’t appear.
- Typo in the address at purchase: write to support@vibestarter.pro with your proof of purchase.
- Changing your email address: this isn’t possible from the account area. A new address creates a new account, so go through support.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- There is no password, no sign-up in the app, and no license key to enter.
- No sign-in link can be reused, even if it has just been opened.
- Closing your account requires ending your subscriptions and remaining installments, but it does not revoke the authorization given to Roblox: that step is done on Roblox’s side. See Your account and your data.
- An account whose access is suspended for an overdue payment, or ended after a refund, no longer signs in to the app, but still signs in to the website. See Fix a declined payment and get your access back.
