AI Studio: create it yourself

The Overlays tab is free; the others depend on your credits or your accounts.

The AI Studio is the space where you create without going through an agent. In an open project, switch from Agents to AI Studio. Outside a project, the AI Studio pin in the top bar lists your projects and their visuals. The Workshop contains four tabs: Visuals, Overlays, Image → 3D, and Model → 2D.

This tab generates 16:9 thumbnails and 1:1 icons for your Roblox game. You first choose the engine.

Generation through your connected ChatGPT account, without using AI credits. A paid ChatGPT subscription is required: the free plan does not include image generation.

  1. Choose Thumbnail or Icon.

  2. Write your description in the input bar, at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Set the number of images in the request, from 1 to 6, with the − and + buttons on the bar. With the Credits engine, the estimated cost is shown next to it. Send it with the button at the end of the bar, or the Enter key.

  4. Double-click a result to open it full size. The Variants button generates new images based on it, Edit opens the retouching editor, Dress sends it to the overlays tab, and the Download icon saves a copy to your computer.

Images stay in the project’s history, on a canvas where you can mark them as favorites, select several, and delete them.

The retouching editor lets you draw around an area of the image, then describe the change to make there. You can add reference images: they are labeled R1 and R2 in the order you added them, and you can refer to them in your instruction.

The Cancel button stops the project’s ongoing generations: the images that have not yet been requested are not launched, and use no credits or Codex quota. An image whose request had already been sent may still be counted.

This tab adds a countdown or a banner to an existing visual, then lets you adjust, compare, and export. The formats are Icon (1:1) and Thumbnail (16:9), the modes Update — an hourglass and a text — and Title strip. The result comes out with Export PNG.

The image is composed on your computer: this tab uses no credits.

Image → 3D: convert an image into a model

Section titled “Image → 3D: convert an image into a model”
  1. Choose an image from your library.

  2. Add other Views if you have them, up to the maximum shown. Back and side views give a more faithful model.

  3. Choose the Topology: Quads or Triangles.

  4. The button shows the cost and the estimated duration. Click Generate.

  5. Wait for the 3D model ready state, then click View.

If you click Stop waiting, the conversion continues and your credits remain committed: the app only stops waiting for it, and the model is not brought back to your asset bank.

When the rail shows Unavailable, it means both the AI credits and the Meshy key are missing.

This tab renders an existing 3D model as a 2D image. The camera is controlled with the mouse — drag to rotate, Shift and drag to move. You adjust the outline and the drop shadow, and you save your settings as presets to get the same framing on the following models.

  • The Visuals workshop and the Image → 3D tab require AI credits, a paid ChatGPT account, or a Meshy key depending on the case. The Overlays and Model → 2D tabs work on your computer.
  • Visuals stay in the Workshop’s history, per project, on this computer: they are neither in My assets nor shared with the community. A model from Image → 3D and an image saved from Model → 2D follow, however, the destination set for your assets: see Where your assets go.
  • An image generated here is not automatically published to Roblox or inserted into your place: ask an agent to do it, or publish from your project.

The Codex engine says image generation is not included. It is a free ChatGPT plan. Switch to the Credits engine, or use a paid ChatGPT account.

Which quality should I choose on the Credits engine?

Standard is for exploring several directions, and Max is for when the composition is settled and you want the best final render.

Where do the images I generate here go? To the Workshop’s history, organized by project on this computer: you will not find them in My assets, and they are not shared. The Download icon saves a copy wherever you choose.
