Coming soon

Unlinking cuts the link right away; the bot leaves the server 30 days later.

Unlinking means undoing the link between your game and your Discord server. It is the step to take to change servers, or to stop using the service for this game. It stays possible at any time, even when Community is no longer active for the game.

## Unlink

1. In the Discord section, open the “…” menu (More actions) to the right of the server line, then choose Unlink this server. As long as the game is not wired, the button is directly under the three steps.

2. A confirmation opens, “Unlink this server?” It reminds you that the link between this game and this server is removed, that your announcement rules, your language and your tone stay saved for this game, that you will pick the channels again when you link a server, and that AutoMod rules remain on Discord.

3. Click Unlink. The section goes back to the three steps, with step 1 saying “No server linked”.

## What unlinking does, and does not do

| What happens | What stays in place |
| --- | --- |
| The link between your game and your server is removed. | The bot stays a member of the server for 30 days, doing nothing. |
| No more announcements go out on this server. | The channels, roles and messages already created stay as they are. |
| The `/evenements` command refuses to answer. | The command may stay visible in Discord for a while. |
| The server becomes free for another game. | Your announcement rules, your language, your tone and your limit. |
| Pending actions are cancelled. | The wiring of your game’s events stays valid. |

## What belongs to the game, and what belongs to the server

Your announcement rules describe **your game**: “when a boss falls, announce it.” They do not belong to the server, and unlinking keeps them. Only the **channels** where each rule posts belong to the server: they cannot be reused on another server.

When you reconnect:

- **On the same server**, the channels are picked up as they were and announcements resume.
- **On another server**, each rule shows “Channel to choose” in the events table. A selector lets you choose a channel where the bot can post. Nothing goes out until that choice is made.

The wiring of your game’s events (the Roblox code that tells VibeStarter) is not touched: it links your game to VibeStarter, not to Discord.

## AutoMod protections stay on Discord

AutoMod rules belong to your Discord server. Unlinking and **Reset everything** do not delete them: Discord keeps applying them. If you want to stop them, ask the agent to turn them off before unlinking, or change them directly in Discord’s AutoMod settings. They are not copied to another server when you reconnect your game somewhere else.

## Reset everything

To start from scratch, there is a separate action: Reset everything, in the same “…” menu, or under the three steps as long as the game is not wired, even with no server linked. Its confirmation says what it deletes: all announcement rules, your language, tone and limit settings, and the event wiring, which you will have to redo in the game afterwards. The linked server stays linked and the bot stays installed. This cannot be undone. This action is reserved for the project owner, like unlinking.

If your only goal is to give the bot permissions again on the same server, **do not unlink**: use Reinstall the bot, which replays the authorization while keeping your rules. See [Install the bot](/en/services/discord-du-jeu/installer-le-bot/).

## When Community ends

Community ends for the game at the end of the paid period after a cancellation, at the end of a Starter pack’s month, or when a renewal stays unpaid. The bot **goes silent right away**: no more announcements go out and the agent can no longer act on the server. The bot stays a member of the server, and Discord keeps applying the AutoMod rules.

- **You can unlink at any time, even without Community.** The server becomes free for another game.
- **If you resume Community within 30 days**, the bot picks up again on the same server, with your rules, your channels and your settings.
- **If Community is not resumed within 30 days, the bot leaves the server and the link is released.** Your announcement rules, your language, your tone, your limit and the wiring of the game’s events stay saved for the game. If you resume Community later, you reinstall the bot, as after unlinking.
- **A late renewal cuts nothing for 3 days.** The bot keeps acting and an email warns you; the 30 days only start after that. See [The services for your game](/en/services/#when-community-ends-for-a-game).

## When the bot leaves your server

The bot does not stay on a server where it is no longer used. It leaves by itself:

-   **30 days after unlinking**, if the server has not been linked again in the meantime, to this game or to another;
-   **30 days after Community ends** for the game, if it is not resumed;
-   **30 days after the Discord account that installed it stopped managing the server**, if it is not reinstalled;
-   **within minutes** of an installation that was refused or left unconfirmed;
- when you delete the project or your VibeStarter account.

Resetting does not make it leave. To remove it without waiting, go through Discord, in the server settings, like for any other app: the VibeStarter app has no button for that.

The recommended order is **to unlink first in the app**, then remove the bot on Discord. If you remove the bot first, the app shows “The bot was removed from the server. Reinstall it to resume.” until you unlink.

## Frequently asked questions

**I want to move my game to another Discord server.** Unlink the current server, then run Install the bot again and choose the new server. Your rules are still there; choose a channel for each one in the events table.

**I sold or transferred my game.** Unlink the server before the transfer. Otherwise, as long as the game stays linked to your project, the new owner cannot link it to a server: the app shows them “This game changed owner: the link must be reviewed by our team.” Unlink on your side, or write to **[support@vibestarter.pro](mailto:support@vibestarter.pro)**. Once the game is removed from your project, the old link is released by itself: the new owner starts again from the three steps, without your rules or your settings.

**I stopped Community: is the bot still on my server?** Yes, for 30 days, doing nothing. See [When Community ends](/en/services/discord-du-jeu/dissocier/#when-community-ends).

**The bot was removed from Discord, but the app still shows the server.** This is normal: the link stays until you remove it. Reinstall the bot to resume, or unlink to cut the link.
