VibeStarter is a desktop app, for Windows and for Mac. It runs AI coding agents on a Roblox game project, and sends their work to Roblox Studio continuously. You buy it once; the intelligence, however, comes from your own AI account.

The version described here

This documentation describes the version shown in the footer. A banner at the top of the page, when present, signals a version that is not yet released. The services around the app, for their part, do not carry a number: their status is indicated on their page. See [Services for your game](/en/services/).

## VibeStarter makes your AI work, it does not sell you one

The app embeds a Linux virtual machine and installs in it the **official tools** of AI providers: Claude Code (Anthropic), Codex (OpenAI), Grok Build (xAI), Antigravity (Google) and OpenCode, plus a bare Terminal. You don’t install anything yourself.

These tools connect to **your** account: your Claude subscription, your ChatGPT subscription, your Google account. Sign-in happens in the provider’s tool. The app says so in its settings: “VibeStarter never sees your tokens.”

Consequence to remember: **VibeStarter is not an AI, and its price does not include any AI.** You need an AI account alongside it. See [What you need besides the app](/en/decouvrir/ce-qu-il-te-faut/).

VibeStarter is an independent tool

VibeStarter is not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, Google, GitHub, or OpenCode, and is not endorsed by any of them. The brands mentioned belong to their owners. Your use of each agent remains subject to its provider’s terms.

## What happens when you ask for something

1. **You write your request** In French, in an agent’s pane.

    _your request_

2. **Your agent works** It reads and writes your project’s code, on your computer.

    _the code_

3. **The code reaches Studio** The VibeStarter Sync plugin sends it to the open place.

    _your place_

4. **You publish** From Roblox Studio, with File → Publish to Roblox.

The path of a request, from your keyboard to the game online. The last step is a move you make yourself, in Roblox Studio.

Two details of this path explain much of the surprises:

- **Studio only receives code that compiles.** As long as compilation fails, it keeps the last valid version. This is intended: an agent at work fixes the error, and without an agent running, the app asks you to start one.
- **Sync goes one way.** Your computer pushes to Studio; a script you edit by hand in Studio does not come back into your project, and will be overwritten.

## What VibeStarter does

- It installs and updates the agents’ tools, and runs them in its Linux virtual machine. Several agents work in parallel, each in its own pane.
- It places in each project instructions and Roblox know-how, so your agents know the platform without you having to explain it.
- It connects your agents to Roblox Studio: read and modify the open place, run Luau, launch a playtest, simulate player input, take a screenshot of the render.
- It continuously sends the compiled code of your project to the open place.
- It starts your project on a **ready-to-use template**: player saves, replication, notifications, admin console and UI primitives are already there.
- It saves the code of your projects online, automatically, continuously, with no button.
- It gives your agents a shared asset bank and tools to generate images, 3D models, music and sound effects.
- It lets you invite someone to a project, with two roles: owner and editor.

## What VibeStarter does not do

- **It does not replace Roblox Studio.** Studio remains the editor for the 3D world, and the only place where a game is published.
- **It does not publish your game for you.** The app then records which version is online, but publishing is your action.
- **It does not take over an existing Roblox game.** A VibeStarter project is written in TypeScript, compiled to Luau, on an architecture imposed by its template.
- **It does not back up your media online.** The backup only covers code. Images, models and sounds stay on your machine, and Roblox hosts them once published.
- **It does not deliver a finished game.** The project template is a foundation: no shop, no leaderboard, no ready-made tutorial path.
- **There is no free trial, no demo, and no limited version.**
- **It does not run on Linux, on an Intel Mac, or on a Windows ARM PC.**
